Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating a Laghav account or using the Laghav API, playground, SDKs, or CLI ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company to these Terms. "You" refers to you individually or the company you represent.

2. The Service

Laghav AI provides a prompt optimization gateway that:

  • Compresses your AI prompts to reduce token usage
  • Routes prompts to the cheapest capable large language model
  • Caches semantically similar queries to avoid redundant LLM calls
  • Provides quality scoring, PII masking, and analytics

Laghav is a middleware service. We do not control or guarantee the output of any underlying LLM provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google). You are responsible for validating LLM outputs for your use case.

3. Accounts and API keys

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential. Do not commit keys to source control.
  • You are responsible for all API calls made with your keys, whether authorized by you or not.
  • Immediately revoke any key you believe has been compromised (Settings → API Keys in your dashboard).

4. Acceptable use

You may not use Laghav to:

  • Generate content that is illegal, fraudulent, or promotes harm to any person
  • Violate the acceptable use policies of underlying LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google)
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract Laghav's compression algorithms or routing logic
  • Circumvent rate limits or usage quotas (e.g., using multiple accounts to exceed free tier limits)
  • Launch denial-of-service attacks against Laghav or any third party
  • Process prompt content that contains another person's personal data without a lawful basis (e.g., valid DPA in place)

Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

5. Plans, billing, and limits

Plans are billed monthly or annually in advance (INR via Razorpay for India; USD via Stripe internationally). Annual plans are discounted 30%.

Overage: If you exceed your plan's monthly call limit, additional calls continue to work and are charged at your tier's overage rate. There are no hard cutoffs unless you have a hard_stop: true budget configured.

Cancellation: Cancel anytime from your dashboard. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds for partial months.

Payment failure: We provide a 3-day grace period on failed payments before suspending API access. You will receive email notifications before suspension.

Refunds: We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first paid month if the Service does not work as described. Contact support@laghav.ai.

6. Intellectual property

You retain all ownership of your prompts, data, and LLM outputs. Laghav does not claim any rights to your content. The Laghav platform, brand, APIs, and documentation are owned by Laghav AI and protected by applicable intellectual property law.

7. Disclaimers and limitations

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. LAGHAV DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT LLM OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LAGHAV'S LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID LAGHAV IN THE 3 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

LAGHAV IS NOT LIABLE FOR: (A) THE CONTENT OR ACCURACY OF LLM OUTPUTS; (B) DECISIONS YOU MAKE BASED ON LLM OUTPUTS; (C) INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy governs how we handle your data and is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The key fact: Laghav never stores your prompt content.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate Section 4 (Acceptable use) immediately and without notice. Upon termination, your API keys are revoked, and your usage metadata is retained per our Privacy Policy retention schedule.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Pune, Maharashtra, India, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

11. Changes

We will notify you by email at least 14 days before any material change to these Terms. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
